At Lyn Public School, we provide high quality instruction that gives all of our students the opportunity to engage in learning that best meets their individual strengths, needs, and interests. We believe that it is important that our students can connect to the curriculum in meaningful ways so they see themselves in what is taught, how it is taught, and how it applies to their world. We value what our students think and encourage them to make their thinking visible. Making their thinking visible is a step towards creating collaborative, confident, and independent thinkers and problem solvers.
As principal of Lyn Public School, my role is to support students and their families along their educational journey. This includes not only ensuring our students' academic success but also their emotional, social and physical development and well-being so that we are nurturing the development of the whole child. By intentionally designing both instructional and extra-curricular programs that focus on the whole child, we empower every child to reach their full potential.
We recognize the importance of wellness, diversity, equity and inclusion in all that we do at Lyn Public School. Our comprehensive, relevant and student-centered program not only fosters the knowledge, skills and dispositions that our students need to become informed, productive, responsible and caring citizens but it prepares our learners for a successful life in their world of ever-accelerating change.
Marnie Lindsay
Principal
